Toxikon is pleased to announce that staff members from Toxikon Europe N.V. will be taking part in this year's Pre-filled Syringes and Advanced Injection Technologies Conference in Piccadilly, London.

Dr. Piet Christiaens, Scientific Director at Toxikon Europe, and Study Directors Lothar Habel, PhD. and Anja Cerstiaens, PhD., will provide the keynote presentation for the pre-conference seminar and panel discussion May 6 at Le Meridien Hotel. 

Their topic, "Designing Extractable and Leachable Studies for Pre-filled Syringe Applications," will provide an introductory analysis of the materials used in the manufacturing of pre-filled syringes and the extractables and leachables testing requirements for the U.S. and Europe. Several fictional scenarios will be presented at the end of the discussion to allow participants to interact and discuss what type of testing would be most appropriate for each case study.

Dr. Christiaens will provide a similar presentation the following day, entitled "Extractables and Leachables Studies for Pre-Filled Syringes: How to Set Up the Right Testing Strategy."
Attendees who complete the two-day course will receive a certificate of attendance for professional development.
